A few months ago, we bought some sprouts at the farmers market. They were displayed in a cardboard box, but when the farmer sold them to us, he did not take from the display, he grabbed a big handful from a large Mason jar. “Is that how you grow these?” we asked.
His instruction: Go to Sprout People where you can purchase their Sprouting Jar – 3 Screen Lid Set for less than $10, then pick your bean or seeds (radish seed is one of our favorites). From home, all you need are three large, glass Mason jars. Add seeds, screw on the lids, and then rinse each day for about four to seven days – depending on the type of sprouts you choose. You will be amazed at how quickly they grow.
