grapes

Roasting grapes, any type, concentrates the sugars and intensifies the flavors. The delicious result is something sweet and savory at the same time. They make an excellent accent to an autumn salad, a perfect pairing to roasted meats, and a healthy dessert.

How to Roast Grapes:

Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees. Snip the grapes into small clusters and arrange on foil in a roasting pan or on a baking sheet. Drizzle on good extra-virgin olive oil, and sprinkle with coarse or sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste. Put the grapes either in a roasting pan or on a baking sheet and roast for 10-15 minutes, until the grapes are fragrant and slightly wrinkled but not collapsed.

Note:
For dessert, serve warm or at room temperature with a little dab of something creamy, such as creme fraiche, yogurt, or sour cream.
