Bet you didn’t know there’s an even quicker way to peel a carrot? Our friend Mary suggested this technique and we’ve been implementing it ever since:
Put the peeler, blade side down, high on the carrot just below your hand. Smoothly push down, shaving the carrot away from your body. Then reverse the stroke, without lifting the blade off of the carrot and peel in an upward motion. Continue the up and down motion, turning the carrot as you go. Be careful though because carrot peelers can seem benign, but they still possess sharp enough edges to cut your skin.
