Menu with No Meat

Considering it’s the first Monday of the new year, this will be our menu for tonight’s family meal. The marvelous Mark Bittman reminded his readers in yesterday’s New York Times magazine that what we all really need to do is not obsess over dieting, but “eat better”. Cutting meat out of our meal even just once a week is definitely doable and better for us and for our planet.

Monica Bhide’s Rice Pudding
