Keep things festive – serve a meal of one big item, some elegant side dishes, and a wonderful dessert (which can even be store-bought).
After the meal, retreat to another room and nibble on salted nuts, chocolates, and sliced citrus accompanied by prosecco in a can and decaf espresso. If your floor is littered with pistachio shells and colored candy foils, so be it.
