For The Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend, everywhere in America, people will be lighting up their grills, packing a picnic or going away with a few friends to celebrate the unofficial start of summer. If you are planning to make a dish to share, we think that the perfect side is something that can be made in advance, served room temperature, uses what’s in season, can be served with just about anything, and offers something new. This herby salad can also be made with chopped Italian parsley, cilantro or mint and with or without the addition of mustard seeds. The sweet nuttiness of the uncooked beets works well with any combination of yummy garden flavorings.
