Identified as Jewish

"Raised Catholic and now married to a Jewish husband, cooking for the holidays has been self-taught - with only a few of John's family's recipes passed down. Chicken Soup with Matzo Balls, Haroset, and Beef Brisket are all part of my new Jewish identity. But, what I really love about the traditions, particularly Passover, is sitting down to a long dinner with family and friends. I don’t have to be Jewish to really enjoy that." - Suzanne

All over the world, Jewish families celebrate the first night of Passover (this Saturday) with a Seder. The word Seder means “order” in Hebrew, and the order of the ceremony and the food are a very important part of any Passover meal.

Recipe: Braised Fennel with Dill
Sephardic in style, this dish makes a delicious side for any celebration menu.
