INDIAN SUMMER
This original cocktail was created by bartender David Nepove. It came in 6th place in the Grand Prix, one of two major international bartender competitions.
INGREDIENTS:
1/4 ounce Martini & Rossi Bianco vermouth
1 ounce Martini & Rossi Asti sparkling wine
1- 1/2 ounces Bacardi Superior rum
2 ounces fresh watermelon juice
2 quarter-size slices of fresh ginger
Lemon twist
Sprig of mint
INSTRUCTIONS:
Place rum and fresh ginger in a shaker glass and muddle well. Add vermouth, watermelon juice and ice, cap the shaker and shake well. Strain into a tall ice-filled glass and top with sparkling wine. Stir and garnish with lemon twist and mint sprig.
Watermelon "Cocktail", perhaps?
